Areas of Focus

As a therapist, my focus areas include a range of mental health concerns that many individuals face daily. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where my clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and working through their challenges.

Some of my key areas of focus include:

  1. Cultural and systemic oppression: I believe that cultural and systemic oppression can profoundly impact an individual's mental health, and I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space for those who have experienced these forms of oppression. I work with clients to explore the impact of oppression on their lives and to develop strategies for coping with these experiences.

  2. Women's issues are another area of focus in my practice. I understand that women may face unique challenges related to their gender and societal expectations, and I strive to support my clients in navigating these challenges. Whether it's exploring issues related to self-esteem, body image, relationships, or career goals, I am here to help.

  3. Spirituality is an essential aspect of many people's lives, and I am committed to working with clients who want to explore this aspect of themselves. Spirituality can provide a source of strength and comfort for individuals, and I help clients connect with their spiritual beliefs in a way that feels authentic and meaningful to them.

  4. Anxiety and Depression: Many clients come to me seeking support for anxiety and depression, which can impact all aspects of their lives. I work with clients to develop coping skills, build resilience, and explore underlying factors contributing to their symptoms.

  5. Relationship Issues: Whether it's with a partner, family member, or friend, relationships can be complex and challenging. I help clients navigate communication issues, set healthy boundaries, and explore relationship patterns to build more fulfilling connections.

  6. Self-Esteem and Confidence: Low self-esteem and a lack of confidence can hold individuals back from pursuing their goals and living their best lives. I work with clients to build self-awareness, challenge negative self-talk, and develop a positive self-image.

  7. Life Transitions: Life is full of big and small transitions that can be stressful and overwhelming. Whether it's a job change, a move, or a major life event, I help clients navigate these transitions and explore ways to find stability and balance during times of change.

  8. Trauma and PTSD: Traumatic experiences can profoundly impact mental health and well-being. I work with clients to process their experiences, build resilience, and develop coping strategies to manage symptoms of PTSD.

  9. Grief and loss are inevitable parts of the human experience, and I support clients navigating these difficult emotions. Whether it's the loss of a loved one, a job, or a relationship, I am here to help clients work through their grief and find a path forward.

  10. Finally, abandonment is another area of focus in my practice. Whether it's the result of a relationship ending, a childhood experience, or a traumatic event, abandonment can profoundly impact an individual's sense of self-worth and emotional well-being. I work with clients to explore these experiences and to develop strategies for healing and moving forward.

I believe everyone has the capacity for growth and healing, and I am committed to working with my clients to help them reach their full potential. If you are struggling with any of the above concerns, or if you have other mental health needs, please don't hesitate to reach out. I am here to support you on your journey.
