Welcome to our holistic therapy practice that specializes in treating trauma experienced by African Americans. Our approach is based on the understanding that trauma can profoundly impact an individual's physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. We recognize that the experiences of African Americans can be unique and complex, and we are committed to providing culturally sensitive care. Our therapy sessions are facilitated by a Black therapist who uses a holistic healing approach, incorporating neuroscience, mindfulness, and somatic techniques to promote healing and resilience. Our mission is to offer a secure and supportive environment for individuals to process their experiences and to empower them to move towards a more fulfilling and vibrant life. We are devoted to supporting our clients on their journey toward healing and growth, and we are excited to work with you.

We believe that it is essential for our clients to have a clear understanding of my therapeutic approach and techniques. Here are some of the methods we use to support our clients:

  •  Neuroscience: Our approach to therapy is grounded in the latest findings from neuroscience. We use this knowledge to understand better how trauma and stress impact the brain and develop techniques promoting healing and resilience.

  •  Mindfulness: Mindfulness practices can be a powerful tool for promoting self-awareness and personal growth. We incorporate mindfulness techniques into our therapy sessions to help clients develop greater self-awareness and acceptance.

  •  Somatic Techniques: We use somatic techniques to help clients access and process the physical sensations and emotions associated with trauma. This approach can be beneficial for clients who struggle with verbalizing their feelings.

  • Culturally Sensitive Care: We recognize that cultural and societal factors can shape our clients' experiences. We strive to provide culturally sensitive care that acknowledges and respects our client's backgrounds and experiences.
